2019 MHAHA HIGH POINT DIVISIONS AND CATEGORIES (Arabian/Half-Arabian)

 

LEAD LINE

Points are earned from Rated and Non-rated (WSCA, schooling, fun, etc.) for riders six years and under.

All entrants in this category will receive an award. LEADLINE ENTRANTS ARE EXCLUDED FROM VOLUNTEER HOURS AND/OR FEE

 

RATED DIVISION

Points are earned at AHA (A, B, C) or USEF & USDF (for Dressage) shows, AHA recognized Trail or endurance rides, or AJC races.

 

Half-Arabian Anglo-Arabian Rated Dressage:  Western Dressage, Dressage classes at AHA and/or USDF & USEF shows. Training level & up.

Arabian Rated Dressage: Western Dressage, Dressage classes at AHA and/or USDF & USEF shows. (Training level & up.)

Half-Arabian Anglo-Arabian Rated English: English Pleasure, Country English Pleasure, Sidesaddle, English Show Hack, Park, and all types of Driving.

Arabian Rated English:  English Pleasure, Country English Pleasure, Sidesaddle, English Show Hack, Park, and all types of Driving.

Half-Arabian Anglo-Arabian Rated Halter:  All Breeding In Hand classes.

Arabian Rated Halter:  All Breeding In Hand classes.

Half-Arabian Anglo-Arabian Rated Hunter (Pleasure and Working): Hunter Pleasure, Sidesaddle, Hunter under Saddle, Hunter Hack, all Hunter over Fences and Jumping classes. Excludes Warm Up Classes.

Arabian Rated Hunter (Pleasure and Working):  Hunter Pleasure, Sidesaddle, Hunter under Saddle, Hunter Hack, all Hunter over Fences and Jumping classes. Excludes Warm Up Classes

Half-Arabian Anglo-Arabian Rated Western Pleasure:  Western Riding, Western Pleasure and Sidesaddle,

Half-Arabian Anglo-Arabian Rated Working Western: Reining, Western Trail, Working Cow, and Cutting.

Arabian Rated Western Pleasure: Western Riding, Western Pleasure and Sidesaddle.

Arabian Rated Working Western:, Reining, Western Trail, Working Cow, and Cutting.

Half-Arabian Anglo-Arabian Rated Specialty: English Trail, Native Costume, all Equitation and/or Horsemanship (Western, English, Hunt Seat, Dressage, or Stock Seat), Showmanship at Halter, Pro-Am, Medal Classes, Walk-Trot (not Intro or Walk Trot Dressage), Combined Training, Eventing, Endurance Rides,etc.

Arabian Rated Specialty: English Trail, Native Costume, all Equitation and/or Horsemanship (Western, English, Hunt Seat, Dressage, or Stock Seat), Showmanship at Halter, Pro-Am, Medal Classes, Walk-Trot (not Intro or Walk Trot Dressage}, Combined Training, Eventing, Endurance Rides, etc.

Arabian/Half Arabian/Anglo Arabian Sport Horse: Sport Horse In Hand, Sport Horse Under Saddle, Sport Horse Show Hack,

 

OPEN DIVISION - COMBINED ARABIAN, HALF-ARABIAN, ANGLO ARABIAN

Open to Arabians, Half-Arabians, & Anglo-Arabians.

Points are earned at non-rated shows such as WSCA, Schooling, Fun, or any other non-AHA-rated shows.  These shows must be open to the general public, or sanctioned by a National Organization such as USEF, Pinto, NSH, or Palomino. Includes Futurity/Maturity/Goldstar/Fall Festival Classes.

 

Open English:       English Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, Sidesaddle, Country English, Show Hack,   

                                Hunter Hack, Hunter over Fences, Jumping, Driving, etc.  Excludes Warm UP Classes.

Open Western:    Western Riding, Western Pleasure and Sidesaddle.

Open Working Western: Reining, Cutting, Working Cow, Western Trail, etc.

Open Specialty:  English Trail, Dressage Training Level & higher, Dressage Equitation, Jumping, Costume, Halter, Sport Horse in Hand,, Walk-Trot, Combined Training, Eventing, Endurance  Rides, (Excludes Intro  Dressage, Warm UP Hunter Classes).

Open Equitation: Dressage Equitation, Western Horsemanship, Stock Seat Eq, Hunt Seat Eq, Saddle Seat Eq, Showmanship at Halter

Open Games:      Barrels, Pole Weaving, KeyHole, Egg and Spoon, Jumping Figure 8, Bribe a Horse, All Bareback Classes, etc.

Excludes all JACKPOT,TEAM CLASSES AND EXHIBITION   CLASSES.

OVERALL HIGH POINT

RATED OVERALL - Total points from all Rated categories are added together for Senior (19 and over) and Youth (18 and under) overall high point.  Champion overall high point awards are traveling trophies passed down from year to year.  The top five in each age group will receive ribbons.  Entry in high point program automatically enters horse and rider/handler/driver combination into the overall high point.

OPEN OVERALL - Total points from all OPEN categories are added together for overall high point.  Champion overall high point awards are traveling trophies passed down from year to year.  The top five in each age group will receive ribbons.  Entry in high point program automatically enters horse and rider/handler/driver combination into the overall high point.

MHAHA HIGHEST HONORS

Awarded to horse and rider/handler/driver with the highest placing at the National (or Regional level).  Ties to be won by the combination with the highest number of points at National and Regional competition.  Entry in high point program automatically enters the combination into this division.

NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR

First or Second year entrant into the MHAHA High Point Program.  Awarded to an amateur/junior Associate or Affiliate member with the highest number of points in Rated and Open divisions.  Horse and rider/handler/driver Combination. This award can only be won once by any individual.

Rated Sport Horse: Sport Horse In Hand, Sport Horse Under Saddle, Sport Horse Show Hack,

 

OPEN DIVISION – NON-ARABIANS

Open to all breeds EXCEPT Arabians, Half-Arabians, & Anglo-Arabians.

Points are earned at non-rated shows such as 4-H, WSCA, Schooling, Fun, Academy or any other non-AHA-rated shows.  These shows must be open to the general public, not closed (like for members only).

 

Open English:       English Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, Sidesaddle, Country English, Show Hack,   

                             Hunter Hack, Hunter over Fences, Jumping, Driving, etc.  Excludes Warm UP Classes.

Open Dressage:  Dressage Training Level & higher

Open Sport Horse: Sport Horse In Hand, Sport Horse Under Saddle, Sport Horse Show Hack,

Open Western:    Western Riding, Western Pleasure and Sidesaddle.
