Secretary’s Report: Linda Pasicznyk- December minutes are on MHAHA Face Book page, as well as website.

Treasurers Report: Val Gordon – reported.  MHAHA thanked Val for her time and commitment.

Membership Report: Mary Florke – At time of meeting approximately 85 members.

Presidents Report: Region 10 update -Chuck Rickart reported MHAHA will receive again from Reg 10 a disbursement, the amount is based on a formula. The Region 10 shows were very successful. The youth roundup will be judge by Angie Sullivan at a very reasonable cost, expenses only. Thanks to Angie.

Region 10 Nominating Committee recommended the following individuals: Laura Mickelson – Director, Ann Benson – V Director, Nancy Miller – Secretary, Chris Rickart – Treasurer.
Discussion South Dakota Club – The vote to accept the SD Club in Reg 10 showed 11 yes and 10 no. Moving forward the final decision will be AHA Board. The tentative SD Spring Show I will a Reg 6 show, SD Spring Show II will be a Reg 10 show. Concern on if and how this will impact our own Reg 10 shows.
Information on Arabians UnPlugged consists of approximately 5 clubs, MHAHA, MAHA, NMAHA,Minnekota and one more. An open show format for Arabians/Half Arabians with a Championship Show on Sept 12 year end at Washington Co Fairgrounds. Participants will need to qualify for the year end show. They have dropped the WSCA. For further details go to Reg 10 website.

Officers/Committee will be announced at the February meeting.

Vice Presidents Report: Jeff Rutz proposed MHAHA look at contacting a website designer. MHAHA site needs a friendly, welcoming, cool website. Search tool is the key to get hits to our site. Jeff will research his contact, in addition Melissa Pasicznyk suggested contacting Kelly Reynolds.

Committee Reports:
Dressage: Barb Watson absent no report. Questions pertaining to the status of the dressage ring. Chuck will check on.

High Point – Linda Pasicznyk – Approximately 41 or so entries for 2009 High Point. For 2010 High Point there will be some changes. All changes will be highlighted in yellow. Banquet will be at Gulden’s in Maplewood on January 30. Cost 24.00 for adults and 10.00 for youth. Located just off 694E and Highway 61 in Maplewood. Reservation form is on the website or email Leann at leann@polywater.com.

Shows and Rides: GAGT – Rachel Spry will contact Myron Krause for 1st choice, Van Jacobson 2nd, Leon Matthias 3rd. Dressage judge will be determined by input from previous exhibitors. A local judge able to drive would be good.

Dog Days dates are August 14-15. No update
Promotions: Mary & Gary Florke have been asked by Lori Conway for help to plan at the Horse Expo. Looking for 2 horses for expo as well as volunteers. Chris Rickart suggested that each Arab/Half Arab club in Reg 10 take a shift or a day.

2010 Schooling Shows – Show dates are April 11- Gary Holliday / Jeff Rutz Judge Roy Johnson/
Minnetrista location. The fall schooling show will be September 11 instead of Sept 12. Show managers Cathy Johnson and Tami Bagley are beginning to research judges.

New Business – Crowning of the Royalty – Tami Bagley will develop a system for voting on the candidates at the banquet.

Trail Ride Committee/Coordinator – Chris Rickart is looking at ways to get trail riders involved with MHAHA. Chuck directed Chris to obtain a list of potential contacts in the endurance, trail riding discipline and bring to the March meeting.
