The MN Horse Expo was a cold and rainy weekend. But all the horse community
showed up as they do every year. This year we had three repeat demo horses;
Brandy, Fahrenheit and Shotsy, brought by Leigh Holman, Amy Kellen and Jenni
Bull. Then we had two new demo horses thanks to Rose Vos. She brought two
Half-Arab mares, both were busy all weekend with the usual demos. Plus she had
horses in other demos for the featured speakers. Another new horse and owner
combo was Boudicca, a pretty pinto mare owned by the Whittier family. Christine
Whittier did most of the riding and did one demo with Julie Goodnight, one of
the featured speakers. Amy Kellen also participated in at least three of the
Julie Goodnight demos. The owners and member volunteers were great. Thanks to
the family support (and Rose’s helper Becky too). AND Michelle Bagley was there
to help Rose with her extra horse so our MHAHA saddle club queen got good
exposure. Thanks Michelle. Thanks also to Leigh, Karron and Amy and all the
others that did the stall set-up and tear down. Congratulations to Jenni Bull as
she had a mare foaling at home while she was a the Expo. She’s proud of her new
palomino colt!
